How we pick products

• Start with the reader's situation: home size, budget, floors, which smart speaker they use.
• Shortlist products from major brands with official, published specs.
• Compare the specs that matter for that situation (for example storage, monthly fees, coverage, ports).
• Check current prices on each brand's own store and note the date.
• Rank them by fit, and write a clear 'buy it if' and 'skip it if' for each.

What "Compared & Ranked" means

Most of our buying guides are research-based: we compare official specs, plans and prices rather than running lab tests. We label them that way so you know exactly what our verdict is based on. If we ever do hands-on testing, we'll say what we tested and how.

Prices come from the brand's own store on the date shown. Sales change often, so always check the final price before you buy.
